Claudia Oberst was born in Weinheim, Germany, in 1986. She is a freelance writer and journalism student at UCLA Extension, where she focuses on entertainment journalism.

Claudia has worked as a TV producer for ZDF, German public television, in Paris from 2011 to 2014, covering political and economic news as well as topics relating to society and culture. She worked in Munich as a producer on the travel documentary “Verrückt nach Meer” (“Crazy about the sea”) which is broadcast on ARD German television.

Claudia studied at the Sorbonne University in Paris and CSU in Los Angeles. She obtained her M.A. in history, English and French literature from the University of Heidelberg in 2012.
